Confetti throwing has been known since the 18th century. However, as the root of the word reveals, at that time it was still about confectionery, i.e. sweets. It is not clear when these were replaced by colorful pieces of paper. But one thing is certain: firing a confetti cannon is just as much fun!
How does a confetti cannon work?

In the private sector, hand cannons are the best choice. The housing of the confetti launcher often contains metal or plastic springs, the tension of which is released by manual operation. Party big operation
In the professional and event sector, a little more bang is needed. To achieve remarkable throwing distances of up to 100 meters, a compressed gas is used - air, carbon dioxide or nitrogen cartridges burst on command and fill the air with single-color, colorful, shiny metallic confetti or with rectangular tinsel particles that swirl delightfully lightly through the room. What are the forms of confetti cannons?
The basic shape of the confetti cannon is a cylindrical tube. Its diameter and length are variable, which achieves different effects and ranges.
Handy guns
Manual confetti cannons and shotguns are held in the hands. By spiritedly twisting or pulling a trigger, the seal is broken and the small explosion inside is triggered. The confetti shoots out the front with a bang.
Confetti streamer
Streamers and shooters are the powerful and remote controlled ways to launch confetti into the air. They are equipped with electric confetti cannons, wired to the trigger and usually ignited remotely. Here, the direction of the shot is set in advance and fixed by means of set screws.
Confetti blower
If you want to avoid the bang and still have a colorful party atmosphere, use a confetti blower. This works according to the hourglass principle: The large funnel can hold up to 3 kg of confetti. This trickles into the container below, where it is whirled up by a fan and distributed throughout the room thanks to a rapid rotary motion.

While confetti shooters and other effect devices are set up in one place or permanently installed, users of manual confetti cannons should pay attention to a few things:
• Confetti cannons may only be used by adults.
• The gun is intended for one-time use only.
• Each shooter has a seal. If this is damaged or broken, the confetti cannon should no longer be used for safety reasons.
• Do not store the confetti cannons in direct sunlight or near a heat source. The operating temperature is between -30 °C and +50 °C.
• Observe the specified ranges and spatial requirements.
• Aim only in the air and never at people, animals or objects.
• A loud bang is produced when the gun is fired. Keep the confetti cannon away from your ears.
• Confetti cannons contain reactive substances. Therefore, do not throw them and do not hit them against walls, furniture, poles or other obstacles.
